Real estate is in Doug's blood. His great-grandfather was a builder. Among others, the Benjamin Billian house was built in the late 1800s and still stands in Doylestown, PA. Doug's grandfather was an electrician when that was the next big thing and sustained the family during the Great Depression thanks to a handful of rental properties. Doug Billian, Sr. explored lots of real estate types, including developing apartments in Sandy Springs in the 1970s. Now condos, Chastain Walk and Laurel Grove remain popular and in-demand.
Doug spent the first 12 years of his career in the magazine publishing business. Along the way, he was instrumental in evaluating, buying and selling multiple brands, businesses, and assets. Next, Doug spent several years in small business/e-commerce as an owner-operator.
Over the last 20 years, real estate has been the most meaningful wealth builder for Doug and his family. After buying a bank-owned foreclosure in 2009, Doug decided to get his real estate license to help others pursue wealth in real estate.
Since 2013, Doug spent five years as an agent with Keller Williams Sandy Springs and nearly a year as Acquisition Director at a major iBuyer.
Doug has been in the iBuyer trenches and lived to tell the tale.
